Un viaje a Salamanca!

This past weekend, my sister and my friends and I went to Salamanca for the day.  

Salamanca is a small city on the western border of Spain (near Portugal).  It has about 180,000 inhabitants, and is famous for its university.  The University of Salamanca is said to be the third oldest in Europe - founded in 1218.  The people of Salamanca are said to speak the "purest form of Spanish," so the city is very popular for students of other countries who want to improve/perfect their Spanish.  For this reason, it is very much a college town.
